ABOUT WVS HICKS ITC GOA

In India, where millions of free-roaming dogs, cats and pets lack access to basic veterinary care, there is a critical need for skilled veterinary professionals equipped to perform life-saving procedures such as spaying, neutering, and emergency surgeries. The WVS International Training Centre in Goa, bridges this gap by offering hands-on, advanced surgical skills training to veterinary surgeons from across the world, while simultaneously operating as a fully functional clinic for sick, injured community animals and pets. Beyond the operating table, the centre playsa vital role in public health and animal welfare by organising large-scale free vaccination and sterilisation camps in response to public health concerns in various districts, and by facilitating adoptions throughout the year.

Through its integrated model of education, service, and outreach, the centre not only strengthens veterinary capacity but also contributes to creating safer, healthier communities for both humans and community animals across India.
